As a systems architect, you are responsible for the definition, designing and qualifying of the assembly and joining and bonding processes of brand new high tech products. Amongst others, examples are integrated photonics, micro fluidics, intelligent medical productions, CMOS cameras, fiber coupling and chip-to-chip alignment, focusing on connections within Tegema’s modular machine platform. Besides, you function as the linking pin between sales, our customers and our engineering teams. You work on several projects at the same time, collaborating with our multidisciplinary project teams. Together with the project manager, you function as the ‘engineering heart’ of your projects, being responsible for the overall results.
Creating new projects during commercial journeys;
Functionality of complete systems;
Selecting and creating technologies to be applied in systems to be developed;
Implementing processes running (within) those systems mentioned;
Concepts of systems and modules of Tegema’s innovative roadmap;
Organizing (internal) design reviews to ensure quality standard compliance.
Requirements analysis, thereby determining error-budgets, risks, conflicting requirements, concept solutions and critically evaluating and weighting up concepts – all on abstract level;
Modelling, including determining of needs and additional elements;
Engineering risk management;
Knowledge of adhesive bonding techniques and/or micro assembly technologies;
Knowledge of micro welding and fusion bonding technologies;
Knowledge of integrated photonica and/or microfluidica is a plus.
Next to a university (of applied sciences) degree, for example in one of the fields of mechanical, mechatronics or industrial engineering, we are looking for someone who is or has:
Deep rooted love and true passion for technology;
At least five years of work experience in mechatronic system development;
Ambitious, determining, stress resistant and an inspiring and creative personality;
A strong conceptual thinker and a hands on pragmatist in one, who dares to make choices, always focusing on quality;
Leadership skills and sense of empathy;
Well-developed communicative and social skills;
Oral and written knowledge of Dutch and English.
