As a true senior, you are going to be responsible for system software engineering. In the role of ‘technical lead team software’, our senior PLC software engineer is responsible for the software design of our projects and is thus the one making the decisions regarding the systems (often in close collaboration with the project lead engineer). Your responsibilities are amongst others:
Defining and implementing new and improved modular architecture designs, in collaboration with our software program manager;
Ensuring reliability, customer friendliness, a focus on service and quality standard compliance;
Writing and managing product and technical project documentation (amongst others requirements, test specifications, TPD manuals and instructions for operators and/or maintenance).
Next to a bachelor’s degree (university of applied sciences) within the fields of electrical engineering and/or industrial automation and at least five years of work experience in software engineering of industrial systems and/or machines, we are looking for someone who is or has:
Experienced in PLC programming, industrial control systems (P(L)C hardware and software);
Programming experience with IEC 61131-3 (especially Structured Text) PLC programming;
Experience in HMI programming.
You are highly motivated to go that extra mile, you take initiative and ownership;
You love to work in a team of engineers with various backgrounds, but you are, as well, very capable to take up any challenges yourself;
You have a detailed eye for quality and reliability of complex systems;
You are service and user-oriented;
You have demonstrated problem solving skills and you are result-driven;
You have oral and written knowledge of Dutch and English.
Experience in B&R Automation Studio 4 and B&R MAPP;
Experience with motion controllers, coordinated motion, robots and vision;
Programming knowledge in other programming languages (LabVIEW, C, C++, C# and HTML5).
