Are you the Senior PLC Software Engineer we are looking for?

 

General Overview

As senior PLC Software engineer you are working together in multidisciplinary teams. As the senior engineer, you are responsible for the engineering of the system software and you work in close collaboration with i.a. mechanical and electrical engineers to ensure high quality of the product that is engineered. You make use of the modular architecture that TEGEMA uses for developing products for flexible manufacturing purposes and you have a leading role expanding and improving this architecture.

 

Responsibilities

The senior PLC Software Engineer:

-Writes requirement and test specifications

-Is responsible for the software design in a project and has the overview to make decisions for the system, together with the lead mechanical engineer

-Is technical lead of software engineers in a project

-Defines and implements in collaboration with the Software Program Manager the (new/improved) designs in the modular architecture

-Writes and manages the Technical Product documentation (TPD) regarding software

-Assures quality, service-friendliness and reliability of the systems

-Takes care that the system is designed according to the relevant standards

-Writes manuals and instructions for operators and/ or maintenance

 

Competencies

-Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Automation

-At least 5 years of experience in Software Engineering of industrial systems and/or machines

-Knowledge of industrial control systems (PC/ PLC hardware and software).

-Programming experience with structured text PLC programming

-Experience in B&R Automation Studio 4 and B&R MAPP Technology is a pre

-Experience in HMI programming

-Programming knowledge in other programming languages is a pre (LabVIEW, C++, C#, HTML5)

-Experience with and knowledge of the behaviour, properties and control of motion axes like Servomotors, Stepper motors, Piezo Actuators,

6 Axis/Scara Robots

-Effective communicative skills: Ability to be to the point, to clearly state a message to the receiver and reassures that the receiver has understood this message

-Oral and written knowledge of the Dutch and English language
